Job Summary
The Agency Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the agency's accounting and billing functions by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices, payments, and financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in promoting policy retention, maintaining strong financial controls, and reducing Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure.
Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Agency Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the agency's accounting and billing functions by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices, payments, and financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in promoting policy retention, maintaining strong financial controls, and reducing Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure.
Responsibilities
- Policy invoicing new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations on the Agency Management System.
- Payments: Apply payments to outstanding invoices.
- Research and resolve problems with payments.
- Generate check requests/customer refunds.
- Progressive daily deposit.
- Complete monthly agency bill reconciliations by working with the accounting department, as well as Agency companies, to ensure our monthly statements are paid properly.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Strong math, accounting, and computer skills
- Problem solving, and analysis skills are needed to resolve invoice or payment issues.
- Strong customer service skills are also needed.
